When you register and use the Platform, we collect:
- Identity data: Name, Profile ID, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, tribe/clan
- Contact data: Email address, phone number (kept private)
- Profile data: Location, education, occupation, religious practice, physical attributes, and matrimonial preferences
- Guardian (Wali) data: Guardian name and contact details (kept private; only shared upon mutual match)
- Usage data: Pages visited, last active time, request and message history
- Payment data: Processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or full payment details
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your profile
- To facilitate matrimonial introductions between members
- To send email notifications about profile status, requests, and messages
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To moderate the Platform and enforce our Terms & Conditions
- To improve our services through anonymised analytics
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Stripe: for secure payment processing
- Google (Gmail / Sheets): for admin review purposes (restricted access)
- Law enforcement: if legally required
Your contact details and guardian information are never visible to other members. They are only disclosed by our admin team to confirmed matches.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to manage sessions and a referral tracking cookie (pn_ref). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Security
We use SSL/TLS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure and you use the Platform at your own risk.
7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
